The Essence

The Essence 850 480 V.M. Samael Aun Weor

That which makes any new born child beautiful and adorable is his Essence; the latter constitutes in itself his true reality… The normal growth of the Essence in any creature, certainly is very residual, incipient…

The human body grows and develops according to the biological laws of the species; nevertheless, such possibilities are by themselves very limited for the Essence…

Unquestionably, the Essence can only grow by itself without any help to a very small degree…

Talking frankly and unambiguously we will say that the spontaneous and natural growth of the Essence is only possible during the first three, four and five years of age, that is to say, in the first stage of life…

People think that the growth and development of the Essence happens always in a continuous way, according to the mechanics of evolution, but Universal Gnosticism teaches clearly that this does not happen as such…

In order for the Essence to grow more, something very special must happen, something new must occur…

I want to refer in an emphatic way to the work on oneself. The development of the Essence is only possible based on conscious works and voluntary sufferings…

It is necessary to understand that these works do not refer to matters of profession, banks, woodwork, brickwork, fixing of railroad tracks or office affairs…

This work is for any person who has developed the personality; it is about something psychological…

We all know that we have inside ourselves that which is called Ego, “I”, Myself, Oneself…

Unfortunately, the Essence is bottled within the Ego, and that is lamentable.

Dissolving the psychological “I”, disintegrating its undesirable elements, is urgent, unpostponable, pressing… That is the meaning of the work on oneself.

We would never be able to free the Essence without previously disintegrating the psychological “I”…

In the Essence lies the Religion, the Buddha, the Wisdom, the particles of pain of our Father who is in Heaven and all the data that we need for the INTIMATE SELF-REALIZATION OF THE BEING.

No one would be able to annihilate the psychological “I” without previously eliminating the inhuman elements that we carry inside…

We need to reduce to ashes the monstrous cruelty of these times; the envy that has unfortunately become the secret cause of action; the unbearable greed that has turned life so bitter; the sickening slander; the calumny that originates so many tragedies; drunkenness; the filthy lust that smells so foul, etc., etc., etc..

As all these abominations are being reduced to cosmic dust, the Essence, in addition to emancipating, will grow and will develop harmoniously…

Unquestionably, when the psychological “I” has died, the Essence shines in us…

The free Essence confers intimate beauty on us; from that beauty perfect happiness and true love emanate…

The Essence possesses multiple senses of perfection and extraordinary natural powers…

When “we die in ourselves”, when we dissolve the psychological “I”, we enjoy the precious senses and powers of the Essence…
