Estimados lectores y lectoras:
Me complace enviaros, en esta oportunidad, el presente grabado titulado…
…MUTUA RERUM METAMORPHOSIS
─‘Mutual metamorphosis of things’─

DESCRIPTION:
Ignis aquae vires, vice mira, aqua concipit ignis: Mutua naturae semina quaeque gerunt.
Translation: ‘Fire and water have powers, in a wonderful twist, water conceives fire: Each carries the seeds of the other’s nature.’
What does this mean, dear friends?
In the world of transmutations, we all know about the various potentialities possessed by the four elements of nature, namely, water, fire, air, and earth. It is written that at the beginning of creation these elements were intelligently mixed by the blessed MULAPRAKRITI ─the Cosmic Divine Mother─ to begin to give shape to the planetary units that today make up our Solar System.
In the centre of our engraving, the artist, surely knowledgeable of these metaphysical phenomena, shows us a character who with his right hand, holding a jug in it, pours the liquid element onto a kind of plate from which flames sprout. This engraving is telling us what the true Masters of the Hermetic Art affirmed and continue to affirm: “In the water the fire sleeps“…
Similarly, when we refer to the particular alchemical work that we must carry out in our structure or anatomy, we must all understand that in our genesic or seminal waters there is latent the Secret Fire that our Divine Mother Kundalini will activate when those waters have undergone their metamorphoses.
We have said, Gnostically speaking, that the mercurial waters are at first black, then they will turn white, later they will turn yellow and, finally, they will shine with the reddish color. When this happens in the laboratorium oratorium of our physical body, it will be because Stella Maris –our inner Virgin Mother– will have fecundated them with the power of the Holy Spirit and, consequently, we will have awakened the Sacred Fire. Such a fire must ascend within the vertebrae of our spine and, in this way, we will enter into the various initiations that we will be experiencing along our hermetic path. It is the emblematic virtue of our lustral waters, and for this reason it is strictly forbidden for human beings to practice fornication or the loss of their seminal liquor.
What Gnosis has kept for centuries as a key to all splendors is, precisely, the SACRED ARCANUM A.Z.F., which in its encrypted acronym tells us:
- A: WATER.
- Z: SULFUR.
- F: LUMINOUS FOHAT.
That is the amazing virtue of the element WATER, and for this reason the character of our engraving pours water on an allegorical plate. Usually, any ordinary person would say that the water that gushes out of the jug would put out the fire we see on the plate. However, that is the metamorphosis that the author of this engraving wants to tell us about. It is a secret transformation that can take place if we know the rules of HERMETIC ART. This is the mutation of the elements within our physiology carried out with special care so that, through sublimation, we obtain, with patience and perseverance, the Golden Fleece or the Philosopher’s Stone.
I add for our kind reader some words of the wise author FULCANELLI, great Master of the White Brotherhood, let us see:
Now I know of a surety! Speech of sheer joy, outburst of intimate satisfaction, cry of cheerfulness which the Adept utters before the certainty of the marvel. Until then, doubt could yet have assailed him; but in the presence of the perfect and tangible realization he no longer fears error.
He has discovered the way, recognized the truth, inherited the Donum Dei. Nothing of the great secret is unknown to him any longer. Alas! How many among the crowd of seekers can congratulate themselves on reaching the goal, on seeing with their eyes the prison opening up, a prison forever closed for the greatest number of them!
The prison also serves as an emblem of the imperfect body, initial subject of the Work, in which the aqueous and metallic soul is firmly attached and held. “It is this imprisoned water”, says Nicolas Valois, “that unceasingly cries out: Help me, and I shall help you, that is, release me from my prison, and if one day you can liberate me, I shall make you master of the fortress where I am. And so the water locked up in this body is of the same water-nature as that which we gave it to drink, which is called Mercury Trismegistus, and that Parmenides understands when he says: Nature rejoices in Nature, Nature surpasses Nature, and Nature contains Nature. For this imprisoned water revels in its companion who comes to deliver it from its iron shackles, blends with it and finally, converting the same prison into themselves, rejecting that which is contrary to them— and that is the preparation— are both converted into mercurial and permanent water. It is therefore right that our divine water is called the key, light, Diana who shines in the thick of night. For it is the entrance to the entire Work and that which illuminates each man.”
I now give you a few quotations for your reflection:
“Nature is so benign that it arranges things in such a way that, anywhere in the world, you will find something similar.”
Leonardo da Vinci
“In Nature nothing is superfluous.”
Averroes
“I feel in my poetic spirit the kind greeting of the earth, the generosity of Nature.”
Rubén Darío
“The gifts of Nature are worth more than those of Art.”
Voltaire
“Nature always has more power than education.”
Voltaire
