─‘The finite produces the infinite’─
A Latin text:
Innumeros numerus numeros numerabilis edit; Cantio ceu miris fert variata modis.
Translation: ‘The countable number generates countless numbers; just as singing produces varied things of admirable melodies’.
The Latin phrase tells us something that Gnosis has always emphasized. No doubt, in the created worlds is the original seed of creation itself. Thus, what the V.M. Samael called the Iliaster is, in essence, the very germ of everything created. Therefore, we can deduce that more and more forms will sprout from created things that will become part of the Whole.
In this way it is easy to deduce that from the countable number, other numbers will be generated which could be infinite. Certainly, if we think about our original Monad, we can understand and comprehend that, although it may seem to us to be a harsh reality in terms of its possibilities, according to what Gnosis tells us, once it is self-realized, it can multiply and become infinite, after having conquered the states of “Solar Structure” and “Galactic Structure” to reach the state of “Infinite Structure.”
For this reason, Pythagoras assured that the number was sacred and infinite and he did not accept in his school those who did not know the fundamentals of mathematics and music. Both sciences participate in the octaves. For this reason, any piece of music can perfectly well be carried from note to note until it resonates in octaves imperceptible to the human ears. In the same way, if we start counting from ZERO, we could reach the infinite number.
The central figure of our engraving clearly shows us what we are commenting on here. We can see a cloth on which musical notes are written, giving us to understand that the basis of creation lies in them and in the octaves that we can perceive. This is one of the mysteries that surround the THEOMEGALOGOS Himself.
