Dearest friends: It is with great pleasure that I send you a few words about a topic that interests us all:
It is with great pleasure that I send you a few words about a topic that interests us all:
WHAT IS CONSCIOUSNESS ACCORDING TO GNOSIS?
Question: ─What is Consciousness?
Answer: ─A function of the human psyche.
Q.─ What is Consciousness made of?
A. ─Of divine energy.
Q.─ Is it what we call having a guilty Conscience?
A.─ No. It’s something deeper.
Q.─ How does it manifest itself?
A.─ It manifests itself as a state of fullness.
Q.─ And what is it used for?
A.─ To acquire knowledge.
Q.─ What kind of knowledge?
A.─ Knowledge of life and death, of the Cosmos, of Nature, etc.
Q.─ So scientists are very conscious?
A.─ No, because their knowledge is relative, today they affirm one thing and the next day they change it for something else.
Q.─ How is that?
A.─ Well, do you remember when it was said that the Earth was flat? And what happened later? Well, it was verified that it was actually round.
Q.─ And what is the difference?
A.—Well, when Consciousness affirms something, it expresses the causa causaum behind the object of study. Consciousness only affirms absolute truths.
Q.─ Could you give me another example?
A.─ With pleasure. Science believes that there are only three dimensions: length, height, and width. But Consciousness affirms that the entire Universe is multidimensional. There are superior and inferior dimensions, and scientists are just beginning to glimpse a fourth mathematical coordinate, a fourth dimension.
Q.─ And why do not people perceive these things?
A: ─Because in people the Consciousness is asleep, in a state of dreams, hypnotized, in a state of catalepsy or a state of coma.
Q.─ Why is that?
A. ─It is because this faculty is imprisoned among other evil, unpleasant, demonic energies, etc.
Q.─ Where did these evil energies come from?
A.─ From the loss of psychic values that humanity experienced in the famous angelic fall…
Q.─ Can you clarify that a little more?
A: Yes, at the dawn of the human race, humanity possessed the faculty of Consciousness and could connect directly with what religions call GOD; however, when that humanity committed the famous original sin, then the human race engendered what modern psychology calls the “I”.
Q.─ And what is the “I”?
A. ─The “I” is a sum of energies that contradict each other, quarrel with each other, and that has caused the consciousness to have no PEACE, and therefore it lives in a state of permanent turbulence, dazed, bottled up, imprisoned among thousands and thousands of thoughts that torture it, and that is the cause of the sufferings of the human species.
Q.─ How could we put an end to this torment they call “I”?
A.─ That requires entering into the science of self-observation.
Q.─ What is that?
A.─ A technique by which we get to detect our weaknesses or defects.
Q.─ And how to learn that?
A. ─By means of self-observation of yourself you will realize that your Consciousness is wandering, your Consciousness is not where you are, it is located in the past or in the future, but not in the HERE AND NOW.
Q.─ But that implies a permanent effort, doesn’t it?
A: ─Undoubtedly, my friend, this requires a discipline to maintain oneself, from moment to moment, without allowing the psyche to wander, thus maintaining yourself in the present, in the instant that you are living.
Q. ─And in this way will my Consciousness awaken from that sleep?
A: ─That is right, my friend, as you awaken your Consciousness, you will discover yourself, detecting your weaknesses, and that will lead you to an understanding of yourself. Later, Gnosis will indicate to you the science of meditation, by means of which you will be able to study these defects or weaknesses in depth. In this way, that “I” of which we have spoken will lose its strength and finally it will be eliminated with other added techniques that we will indicate in due course.
Q. ─Will I perhaps be able to get to know other realities with the awakened Consciousness?
A.─ Without a doubt, my friend, without a doubt. The awakened Consciousness discovers all the secrets of Nature and the Universe. That is why the ancient Greeks wrote in the Temple of Delphi the phrase NOSCE TE IPSUM, which translated means ‘KNOW THYSELF’…
Q. ─Once I am awake in my Consciousness, what else can I aspire to?
A.─ When someone awakens Consciousness, he approaches his INNER REALITY, which in Gnosis we call THE BEING. That is the way to one day reach what we call SELF-REALIZATION OF ONESELF, the integration with the divine.
Well, thank you very much for all these explanations, now I am starting to find meaning in my life.
A.─ Congratulations, friend, congratulations…..
