This engraving appears in the second volume of a work entitled Utriusque cosmi maioris scilicet et minoris Metaphysica, Physica atque technica Historia. This volume was written by the English mystic Robert Fludd.

We will quote again Joscelyn Godwin, who comments in her book the following:

The tree of the Sephiroth.

In Fludd’s particular interpretation of the traditional Sephiroth tree, placing the ten emanations on each side of a central trunk where TETRAGRAMMATON is written […]

Each Sephira receives its Hebrew name, its Latin translation, the name corresponding to God, and, in some cases, the trinitarian interpretation. Of great interest to Fludd is the emanation of Malkuth, from which sprout ten branches – they look like palm leaves – which in turn bear the names of the Sephiroth. They are paired with the traditional Christian names of the nine orders of angels—Cherubim, Dominations, Virtues, Archangels, Seraphim, Angels, Principalities, Powers, and Thrones—and “Soul” —animas— corresponds to the second Malkuth.
